Demonstrating his best resources, speed, lateral movement, combinations and footwork, South African Hekkie Budler retained his 105 lbs. minimum weight title of the World Boxing Association, in Monaco.

Budler defeated by unanimous decision, 117-110, 115-112, and 115-112 Mexican Jesus Silvestre, who at all times kept looking for the combat.

From the opening bell, both fighters is entered into an exchange, getting a slight advantage from the Aztec, who delivered a low blow to the champion during the second round, that makes the referee Stanley Christodoulou ordered a point deduction.

The rest of the fight was clean and very technical, with world champion in absolute control of the actions, making adjustments round by round, especially after the sixth when he frustrated every attempt made by Silvestre.
