Gilberto Mendoza Tournament is postponed

The 4th edition of the Gilberto Mendoza Tournament, one of the most important events during the festival in honor of the Emeritus World Boxing Association (WBA President, which was supposed to take place the 14 and 15 of March, in Maracay Venezuela has been postponed due to the prevention measurements by local authorities regarding the Coronavirus.

With 2 confirmed cases in the South American country, some strategies to prevent the virus from spreading. The tournament organizers decided to cooperate with the demands, and the such tournament filled with many local talent is officially postponed.

The WBA intention is to collaborate to its fullest to avoid the spreading of the pandemic and do our part during these difficult times throughout the world.

Once the situation is under control, and the environment is in optimal conditions to have these types sport events the WBA will inform the new date to host the event.
