The Ecuadorian boxing team will seek quotas for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games in the qualifying event to be held starting on May 6th in Argentina. For that reason, Ecuador has already started its preparation and is currently concentrated in Colombia to get ready for the competition.

This is Ecuador’s second stop in this preparation phase after spending several days in Mexico. The combined team was in Queretaro and Leon de Guanajuato, where they met with several top level fighters and were able to get the necessary experience for the upcoming competition.

“Now the training in Colombia will be more demanding as we enter the competitive phase, a few weeks before the Pre-Olympic”, assured the coach of the national team, Cirilo Lopez, to the Ecuadorian website Expreso.

The world teams are preparing to face an unconventional Olympic Games and the preparation plans are being developed around the world under special measures.
