Two days before the “Maratón Boxística” (Boxing Marathon) program, which will be held in Puerto Colombia next Thursday and will feature 20 fights, the staff that will participate in the event had the opportunity to talk with judges Roberto Torres, Gustavo Padilla, and Luis Pabón.

With the presence of the National Boxing Commissioner of Colombia, Ricardo Castillo, several judges and referees were able to participate in a seminar called “How to score a round”.

Luis Pabón stressed that the talk was an idea of the president of the WBA, Gilberto Jesús Mendoza, and that it was an exchange. “The idea is not to teach you anything because we don’t know more than you. What we want is to go over different situations and practice how to handle them. We will have 20 fights and we have to be very well prepared”, said the Puerto Rican.

Personalities like Leonel Mercado and Manuel Rodríguez Soler were present at the online meeting and the seminar, in which they offered their impressions in an enriching learning process among all the participants.

The judges declared themselves ready to take on the challenge of “Maratón Boxística”, an event in which there will be a world title fight between Venezuelan Carlos Cañizales and Mexican Jesús Silvestre, in addition to matches involving WBA ranked boxers and great emerging talents from the continent.
