In its tireless mission of strengthening amateur boxing and giving a helping hand to future champions, the World Boxing Association (WBA) was present at the amateur event ‘Estruendo en el Desierto’, which was presented by USA Boxing and Center Ring Boxing in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

The day of boxing brought together the best exponents of the amateur branch of the so-called ‘City of Sin’. A total of 24 electrifying battles were held, which were supported by fans and the warmth of the relatives of each of the warriors.

The list of talent was very deep, but there are always boxers who stand out more than others, which was the case of Puerto Rican Ezequiel Borrero, who took the prize for ‘Best Boxer’ of the day. It should be noted that this distinction is very important for Borrero, who is still in the running for a position at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The award for “Best Fight of the event “ went to boxers Andy Toscano and Brennan Rabago, who left everything they had in the ring, from bell to bell.

Supporting these types of activities is and will always be the WBA, which for decades has imprinted many energies on strengthening the foundations, with the flagship of the project being “KO a las Drogas”, which is celebrated in all corners of the world.
