Marcos “Mudo” Rodriguez and Jerson Aguilar will star in the first World Boxing Association (WBA) regional title fight to take place in Mexico during 2022.

Both will step into the ring at the BB Auditorium in Mexico City to fight for the Fedelatin lightweight belt in a battle of tough fighters who need to win to continue their paths to the top.

Rodriguez comes from a tough fight against Venezuelan Erick Leon and although he came out with the loss, he showed courage and determination throughout the fight in which the Continental Americas belt was at stake. The 25-year-old boxer wants to take advantage of this regional title opportunity to take a step forward in his career and aspire to better opportunities.

In Aguilar is 27 years old and has experience in fights of this type. A native of Mexico City, he has been a professional since 2013 and comes from defeating Yoamir Hernandez in his most recent fight in October of last year.

El “Mudo” Rodriguez has 10 wins, 4 losses and 8 knockouts, while Aguilar has 11 wins, 6 losses and 3 knockouts.
