Colombian writer, promoter and journalist, Alberto Agámez, presented the physical version of his book “Todos Somos Culpables” (We Are All Guilty) on Friday night during an event held in the city of Barranquilla.

With the presence of active boxers, retired fighters and the national press, Agámez presented a manuscript that talks about the life of Colombian boxing legend and former World Boxing Association (WBA) world champion, Tomás Molinares.

Beyond the sporting aspect, the book talks about Molinares’ life and all the problems that surrounded his career, the influence of those who surrounded him and the reality of what a Latin American boxer has to deal with mental problems in the midst of fame and success.

Molinares won the WBA welterweight title in July 1988 with a knockout over American Marlon Starling and the problems he was carrying prevented him from continuing his journey as champion.

The story is told from Agámez’s point of view, a boxing man who was close to Molinares and who lived many of his stages closely. A book that helps to understand many things about his career and that is on sale in local bookstores.
