Shane Mosley Jr. scored an important victory for his career last Saturday over Gabriel Rosado and took the WBA Super Middleweight Continental Americas belt from him at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

The American got cards of 97-93, 98-92 and 95-95 to win the regional belt from Rosado in a fight he dominated for most of the way.

The height advantage was key for Mosley, who displayed an incisive jab that not only kept his opponent at a distance but was also able to hurt and destabilize him in many moments of the fight.

Despite the insistence of Rosado, who was faithful to his aggressive style, Mosley was not in trouble at almost any time and was able to settle the fight with some ease.

It was the 18th win for Mosley, who has 4 losses and 10 knockouts. Rosado dropped to 26 wins, 15 losses and 1 draw.
