On Thursday was made official the rematch between the World Boxing Association middleweight champion, Hassan N’Dam from Cameroon and the challenger Ryota Murata from Japan. They will step onto the ring on October 22 in the Ryogoku Kokugikan Arena, Tokyo, also known as the Sumo Hall.

The fighters already met once last May 20 in the same location, and the fight ended in a split decision in favor of the African, who won the vacant title.  However, the result brought a lot of criticism for a controversial decision and the WBA ordered a direct rematch. Besides the organization sanctioned two of the judges. This action evidences the WBA struggle reduce the controversial decisions.

N’dam and Murata talked to the press on Thursday and said to be very excited to fight again. The promised to make their best in this new fight to avoid the first fight decision.

N’dam record is 36-2, 21 kos, while Murata’s record is 12-1, 9 KO
