Liliana Palmera and Alys Sánchez successfully completed the weigh-in ceremony for their morning fight in Barranquilla. Both the Colombian and the Venezuelan were within the limit of the Super Bantamweight division and are ready to fight for the World Boxing Association Championship.

The Champion, Palmera, hit the scales at 122 pounds, while her rival hit the scales at 121 pounds. Palmera and Sanchez will face each other for the second time in their careers after the Colombian beat “La China” in February 2015, during a close fight that ended in a split decision.

Both have shown great respect during the week, in which they have met at some events and talked to the press of Barranquilla, that has put much attention in this fight.

Palmera has a balance of 27 wins, 11 losses, 3 draws and 16 knockouts. On the other hand, Sánchez has a record of 14 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw and 4 knockouts.
