The third week of Matchroom Boxing’s fight camp will feature British light heavyweight Joshua Buatsi, who will face Latvian Ricarda Bolotniks in a World Boxing Association (WBA) eliminator fight.

The promoter’s home in Brentwood, England, has had several good fight dates this year within its camp and this time will be no exception with this showdown between Buatsi and Bolotniks.

The Englishman of Ghanaian descent was a bronze medalist at the 2016 Rio Olympics and has his sights set on becoming a professional world champion. Buatsi is a fighter with many tools and good punching power who wants to make it to the top in the 175-pound division.

Bolotniks is the WBA’s third-ranked fighter in the division and comes into this bout with seven straight wins. The Latvian is 31 years old and has been WBO regional champion, while he has broken the undefeated record of fighters like Sergei Ekimov and Steven Ward, history he wants to repeat against Buatsi.

The bout will be the highlight of Saturday’s card, on Friday they will step on the scales to make 175 lbs. Buatsi is unbeaten in 14 wins and has knocked out 11 opponents. In the case of Bolotniks, he has 18 wins, 5 losses, 1 draw and 8 knockouts.
