SES Sport Events, promoter of the WBA Interim Light Heavyweight Championship between interim champion Dominic Boesel and challenger Zac Dunn, announced the cancellation of the fight to be held on March 28th in Germany.

The WBA was notified by the promoter through official channels and is another measure the boxing world has taken to protect the safety of the athletes and the general population from the chaos of the Coronavirus.

Boesel was to make the first defense of the crown he won on November 16 last year. Now, the SES Sports Events will wait for the right moment to reschedule the fight and will provide the details as soon as possible.

The WBA remains committed to the prevention measures related to the Coronavirus and is willing to collaborate in whatever is necessary to avoid the spread of the pandemic.
