Mexican Karla Ramos won the World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedelatin super featherweight title by defeating Colombian Liliana Palmera by unanimous decision on Wednesday night in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

It was an intense bout, with many exchanges and full of action in which the local got cards of 99-91, 100-91 and 98-92 to win the WBA regional belt.

The Mexican showed that she can go toe-to-toe with anyone and defeated the former world champion in a bout that helps her move up the rankings and get closer to a world title shot in the future.

Ramos was aggressive, worked well in her counter attack and was able to counter the aggressive style of the visitor, who is always a tough nut to crack.

The local won her second fight in a row and her seventh lifetime, while Palmera dropped her record to 29 wins, 14 losses, 3 draws and 16 knockouts.

Correa knocked out Acosta and is the new WBA-Fedecaribe Champion
