World Boxing Association (WBA) World Female Lightweight Champion Katie Taylor is set to defend her title against Delfine Persoon this Saturday on an action packed fight card.

The fight will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York and will be broadcast live on DAZN. All the important titles will be at stake, but it is important to note that all three title fights for the night will feature WBA titles.

Champion Taylor enters the fight having won impressively over Rose Volante in March, where she scored a stoppage victory in Philadelphia. Now, in her 14th professional bout, she is putting her undefeated record on the line against arguably the stiffest test in her career against a woman who has over three times the professional experience.

Persoon is entering the fight off of a victory in March over Melissa St Vil. Persoon has a very long professional record, with only one loss on it that happened way back in 2010. Since then, she has rattled off 34 victories in a row and is one of the best female fighters pound for pound in the world, just like champion Katie Taylor.

Taylor enters the fight with a record of 13 victories, no losses, and 6 wins coming via knockout. Persoon, on the other hand, is coming into the unification match with a record of 43 wins, 1 loss, and 18 wins via knockout.
