The United Nations Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) will appoint Costa Rican boxer Hanna Gabriels as a High Profile Collaborator with the mission of working for people in need in Costa Rica.

With this appointment, Gabriels will join an important list of personalities that includes the likes of Angelina Jolie, Ben Stiller, Natalia Lafourcade, Juanes, among others.

This facet will allow the so-called “Amazona” to continue unfolding her successful career in boxing and remain involved in the promotion of health, the empowerment of women, and the prevention of gender violence.

For the World Boxing Association (WBA) and its president Gilberto Jesus Mendoza it is an honor that our champion is part of the UN and therefore we will be open to accompany Hanna Gabriels in this new facet.
