Thailand’s Nattapong Jankaew defeated his countryman Karoon Jarupianled on Sunday to win the World Boxing Association (WBA) Asia Interim Super Flyweight title.

The match at the Blue Arena in Samut Prakan, Thailand, ended with a unanimous decision for Jankaew, who got cards of 99-91, 97-93, and 96-95 to beat the experienced Jarupianled.

The 24-year-old new WBA Asia Interim Champion achieved a major victory in his career that will help him move up in the world boxing ranks.

Jankaew remains undefeated in 7 fights, 3 of them won by KO, while Jarupianled now has a balance of 44 wins, 10 losses, and 20 KOs.
