The World Boxing Association (WBA) is preparing to implement an ambitious organizational reorganization plan, which aims to streamline the management of the pioneer organization, which celebrates from Sunday its Centennial Convention in Orlando, Florida.

This was informed by the president of the WBA, Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, at the end of the meeting of the Executive Committee, which reviewed on Saturday the preparations and work agenda for the event to be held at the Caribe Royale Hotel in Orlando, Florida.

The WBA Executive Committee made a rigorous review of the organization’s internal processes. Mendoza informed that he is aiming at a decentralized management, which will speed up the decision making process and make the different departments more dynamic in favor of the development of boxing.

“The vice-presidency will have a very important role of coordination and control of the processes. We reviewed everything that has to do with our ratings and championships committees, treasury, legal department, regions. We are aiming at an organizational reengineering that will give us greater management agility and transparency, with which we aspire to strengthen the pillars of our organization,” said Mendoza after the meeting.

With the WBA KO Drugs, on Sunday night at the Caribe Royale Hotel, the World Boxing Association will kick off the events of the Centennial Convention, welcoming the entire boxing community to fulfill the agenda of the highest conclave of the pioneer organization.

On Monday night, the WBA will honor some of the great fighters of yesterday and today, such as Evander Holyfield, Dmitry Bivol, Jackie Nava, singer Felipe Pelaez, among others.

As special guests, the WBA will welcome fighter and influencer Jake Paul, Colombian vallenato music icon Felipe “Pipe” Pelaez, Cuban singer Yotuel and artists Juan Pablo Restrepo and Patrick Killian.
