Conor Benn tested positive for Covid-19 this week and his bout against Adrian Granados was called off. The Brit was supposed to defend his World Boxing Association (WBA) continental welterweight crown against the Mexican in Brentwood, England during Matchroom Fight Camp.

The WBA regrets Benn’s positive result, one of the most impressive young talents at 147 pounds and a great rising regional champion of the pioneering body.

Most important now is the 24-year-old warrior’s health and a quick and successful recovery for his return to the ring in style.

In view of the news, the fight between Can Xu and Leigh Wood for the WBA featherweight world title will be the highlight of the card.
