The World Boxing Association (WBA) regrets the death of Mrs. Blanca Lilia Rivero Uparela, mother of international judge and referee, Uriel Aguilera, last Tuesday.

The entire WBA team, including  judges and referees, doctors, directors and, of course, President Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, received the news with sadness.

The pioneer body sends its condolences to Aguilera and his entire family for such a sensitive loss while praying for the soul of Mrs. Blanca. Rest in Peace.
