World Boxing Association President, Gilberto Mendoza, on behalf of the Directorate and WBA family, condemns the murder of the former champion Antonio Cermeno, occurred Tuesday in Venezuela.

Mendoza recalled that Cermeno was one of the boxers, and former champions, who always gave his support to every WBA activity.

He said that he was “mentor and an active member of the WBA KO Drugs Campaign, and also participated as boxer in several boxing festivals, as well as Street Boxing KO to drugs”.
