On Friday August 15 was held at the Red Cross Technological Institute of Quito, Ecuador seminar for judges and referees, given by international referee Gustavo Padilla, representing the World Boxing Association.
The activity was attended by the President of the Ecuadorian Boxing Commission, Doctor Pedro Bedon.
Padilla, who is the WBA Ratings Committee vice chairman, spoke about proper arbitration technique and common mistakes made by referees.
He gave tips to evaluate the rounds, and finally reviewed some fights videos and a made practical test to all participants.
This seminar was the perfect prelude to a boxing evening which was held at the Coliseum Ruminahui.
