The International Boxing Hall of Fame recently announced the inclusion of the international referee Steve Smoger in the Canastota Hall of the fame to be immortalized next year.

The WBA family of sends a warm greeting and message a salutation for such an achievement.

With 900 fights, the American referee took his first steps in the 1980’s and in 1988 he first refereed a WBA title fight, on May 5 when Marlon Starling and Fujio Ozaki fought for the NJ welterweight Crown.
