After losing the WBA World Super featherweight title on the scale, Nicholas “The Axe Man” Walters (26-0, 21 KOs) stayed unbeaten and avenged an amateur loss with a twelve-round unanimous decision over WBA #7 ranked Miguel Marriaga (20-1, 18 KOs) Saturday night at New York’s Madison Square Garden Theater. Both men an knockout artists and and fought cautious at first, but both landed big bombs as the fight progressed. Walters dropped Marriaga in round nine and went on to win 118-109, 117-110, and 119-108 on the scorecards.
