Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk once again showed his power in the ring by knocking out Briton Tony Bellew in the second round of the World Boxing Association (WBA) super championship via knockout in the eighth round.

The Usyk-Bellew fight was one of the most important evenings in the existence of Matchroom Boxing via the promoter Eddie Hearn, which counted on the support of 21 thousand fans who attended the evening at Manchester Arena in the United Kingdom.

With this victory Usyk was proclaimed as the king of the cruiserweight division and closes the year with a flourish, after having defeated the dangerous contenders Mairis Briedis and Murat Gassiev.

Usky’s next fight was not confirmed but the idea of his promoter Eddie Hearn is to take him to the maximum weight category to challenge the king of the heavyweights Anthony “AJ” Joshua.
