Mark Urvanov and Angel Rodriguez are ready for their bout this Saturday at the RCC Boxing Academy in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Both fighters complied with the weigh-in on Friday, the last step before their World Boxing Association (WBA) super featherweight eliminator showdown.

Urvanov, who will be at home and in front of his people, weighed in at 129.7 pounds, while the Venezuelan visitor stopped the scales at 129.5 pounds, both considerably under the 130-pound mark, and were cleared for the fight.

The 25-year-old Russian knows he has a great opportunity ahead of him and that a victory would put him on the doorstep of a world title fight. But first he will have to overcome Rodriguez, an experienced fighter with a good amateur career and who, at 34 years of age, also has the goal of getting a world title fight.

The only thing left to do now is for the bell to ring and for both men to step into the ring for their 12-round bout. Urvanov has 20 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw and 10 knockouts, while Rodriguez has 19 wins, 1 loss and 10 knockouts.
