Teofimo Lopez will face the most difficult challenge of his career as he will unify against World Boxing Association (WBA) Lightweight Super Champion, Vasyl Lomachenko. On October 17th, they will step into the ring at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in one of the best 135-pound fights in recent times.

Lopez will not have an easy challenge against an experienced, fast and probably the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world today. However, the Honduran-born fighter is confident that he can win the fight.

“Lomachenko knows he’s on his way out. Nobody knows that, but I do. Why would he come to 135? He’s here to cash out. Come on; you get fooled by what you see”, Theofimo said in an interview with FightHype.

The 23-year-old fighter’s argument is that “Loma” is used to the Lightweight category. He emphasized that the specialists believe in the Ukrainian boxer but that he is prepared to finish him off.

Lomachenko will make the fourth defense of his belt in one of the fights that has created the highest expectations this year. The southpaw boxer has been training for months and wants to give another exhibition of quality against a great challenger like Lopez.
