The WBA regrets the death of Yeison Cohen.

The World Boxing Association, the President Gilberto Jesus Mendoza and the Executive Committee regret the death of Venezuelan boxer Yeison Cohen.

Cohen was in intensive care for 15 days after a fight on March 2nd in Barranquilla. For this reason, the WBA demanded greater controls from the local commissions, especially the Colombian one, when approving the fights, in order to avoid this type of outcome.

The WBA sends its most sincere words of condolences to the family and friends of Cohen, who fought for his dream of being a World Champion.

Rest in Peace!

Duelo Yehison Cohen
