With absolute dominance, the 140-pound Interim Champion of the World Boxing Association, Alberto “Avispa” Puello, successfully made the first defense of his belt by knocking out Argentine Cristian “Zorrito” Coria in the sixth round during the last day of the event of Shuan Boxing held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, which started on Wednesday 16th and ended on Thursday 17th at the Catalonia Melecon Hotel.

The technical resources applied by champion Puello left Coria courageously trying to connect. The “Avispa” knew how to take advantage of his greater height and the reach of his arms so that the attacks of the Argentinean were not effective while he managed to hit with good upward blows.

Puello, who has a great amateur career after being part of the Dominican Republic National Team, became the title holder on July 27th, 2019 when he defeated his compatriot Jonathan Alonso. With this new victory, he accumulates an unblemished record of 18 victories with 10 KOs.
