Teófimo López will return to the ring this Saturday against Pedro Campa, in Las Vegas. An interesting fight for the former lightweight world champion, who will move up to the next category in search of new goals.

It will be the first presentation at super lightweight for the American of Honduran descent and he will do it as the star of the night and with a lot of expectation around him.

During the promotion for the bout, he appeared on the program “Max in Boxing” with Max Kellerman, and talked about what he expects from the fight and his new stage.

“I’m excited for this new chapter at 140. I think as a fighter I can’t let the fans down. I have to give them a show no matter how I feel. I’m anxious to get to 140, take control of that division just like I took control of 135, beat the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world at the time, Vasiliy Lomachenko, and move on,” said Lopez.

For Teofimo the most important thing is to start off on the right foot and secure a victory that would make him look good and confirm him as a threat in this new division.
