Irish Katie Taylor and Germany’s Nina Meinke hit the scales at 134.9 and 134.8 pounds respectively. Thus, they are ready to fight for the WBA-International Female Lightweight Championship, which will be at stake this Saturday, April 29th, in London, England.

Taylor is the sensation of European female boxing despite only having 4 bouts and equal number of victories, with 2 knockouts in professional boxing. However, her career as amateur boxer was very successful: she won a gold medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games and was a five-time World Champion.

Now the Irish boxer seeks to work out an equally successful career in professional boxing and her first stop to success is to get the WBA-International belt.

On the other hand, Nina Meinke has also shown her great boxing skills and hopes to prove it at Wembley before 90 thousand people. Her record as a professional boxer is immaculate, 5 straight wins and in two of them she has knocked out her rival.

Undoubtedly, this is a big challenge for both gladiators and it is also an important step in their career to get the WBA-International title. This commitment is even greater, as they want to make a great fight before Wladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua’s battle for the WBA Heavyweight Super Championship.
