The Saint Lucia Boxing Association is preparing its boxers for the pending competitions for this year 2022. The Caribbean country will compete in the Continental Championship which is expected to be held from March 22 to April 2 in Guayaquil, Ecuador and for the Commonwealth Games from July 28 to August 8 in Birmingham, England.

To this end, they provided their boxers with basic equipment such as headgear, gloves, mouth and groin protectors, bandages and jump ropes. The fighters in whom the country is pinning its hopes for victories are Kyghan Mortley, Leran Regis and Artur Langelier, who will soon enter a training camp for the continental and after this training they will make a preparation base in Guyana.

The coach of the national team, Conrad Fredericks, is excited about the possible results that can be achieved in the tournaments, since the requests he has made to the Saint Lucia Boxing Association have been fulfilled and he wants to structure a solid team that can bring medals.
