The World Boxing Association (WBA) celebrated its Seminar of Judges and Referees this Friday in the framework of the Global Boxing Forum that takes place in Yekaterinburg, Russia.

With the intention of exchanging knowledge, updating officers and taking into account the challenges that are presented today, characters like Raúl Caiz Jr., Luis Pabon, Gustavo Padilla and Octavio Rodriguez imparted knowledge and created debates related to the activity with more of 30 Russian judges and referees attending the seminar.

During the day, very interesting points were played, among which the responsibility of the officers in the fighting stands out. This point was treated through a video about the case of Prichard Colon and the whole tragedy that frames what happened to the fighter of Puerto Rico.

The honesty, the account of the time keeper, the way to evaluate an assault, the situations and the arbitration procedures were other topics that those present listened attentively in the middle of a great seminar.

Another very important point was the benefits of instant replay in boxing and how it should be used to make it practical and make the sport much more fair.

The WBA will continue with its agenda in Russia in search of the union of the world boxing and to contribute everything necessary to make the sport a better activity every day.
