American John Ramirez defeated Villa Padilla Thursday night by unanimous decision to win the World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Americas super flyweight title at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California.

The American got cards of 100-90, 99-91 and 99-91 in a great performance to win the vacant regional belt in the main event of the Golden Boy Promotions event.

“Scrappy” continues his unstoppable path in professional boxing and keeps moving forward in his goal of achieving a world championship. The 26-year-old fighter is versatile, has strength and knows how to dominate in the ring, making him a very interesting prospect in the division.
