The coach Santiago Nieva, born in Argentina, will take the reins of the Indian National Boxing Team, in what would be his second period in charge of the team and of which he hopes to rebuild to win medals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Nieva returns to India after ending his contract last year, his biggest challenge is that his athletes get medals at the next Olympic Games, a result they expected for the last Tokyo 2020 Games. Especially with Amit Panghal, who was considered number 1.

The Argentine coach, according to The Print, knows that it is a tough challenge and affirms that his conversations with the Indian Boxing Federation officials were positive despite the fact that the team did not win medals. However, they hope to work hand in hand and have a full-time team of psychologist and nutritionist for better results.
