Jeison Rosario was in one of the most complicated situations in boxing, he arrived Philadelphia to face a Super Champion in his own house, but he was able to tear all the barriers and got a 5 round Knockout against Julian Williams to strip him the belt at The Liacouras Center this Saturday Night,

“Banana”, nickname of the Santo Domingo fighter, knew he was in front of an experienced and dangerous opponent, and that’s why we was cautious since the first moment, but he Dominican didn´t take too much time to realize that his power was too much for the champion Williams.

In the second round, a Right hand caused the cut in the home crowd favorite eyelid that allowed Rosario to fight more comfortable.

The Dominican made Williams go forward and attack first, this allowed him use the counterpunch and was able to connect his right hand in several occasions hurting his opponent.

Several of the impacts Rosario scored did harm Williams who tried to find the right strategy, but he was overwhelmed by visitor fighter.

Early In the fifth round Rosario was able to hurt Williams, going into a seek and destroy mode looking for the Knockout, in a confusing situation “J Rock” went down but he didn’t receive the count by the referee, he took his time to be back on his feet, but he was visibly hurt, Rosario scored a tremendous right hand uppercut and several hooks combinations which forced he referee to stop the fight.

Rosario is the new WBA Junior Middleweight Super Champion and now his record is 20 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw and 14 Knockouts, meanwhile Williams new record is 27 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw and 16 Knockouts.
