Rolando Romero and Jackson Mariñez will step into the ring this Saturday to fight for the vacant WBA Interim Lightweight title. The bout will take place at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, and will be held behind closed doors following all safety measures.

Romero is from Las Vegas and is 24 years old. The boxer of Cuban descent has made his way into boxing following in his father’s footsteps and this Saturday he will have the first big opportunity in his career.

The undefeated boxer stands out for his great punch, which has helped him to stay undefeated since 2016, when he made his professional debut. He will fight Maríñez in what is possibly the most complicated fight of his career so far.

The Dominican boxer has already been WBA-Fedelatin champion and is also undefeated. He already made his debut in the United States and will make his second fight on U.S. soil with the plus of competing for the belt of pioneer organization.

Romero has 11 victories, no losses and 10 KOs, while Maríñez has a record of 19 wins, no losses and 7 KOs.
