The regional directors delivered their reports, after the review of the Lima Convention 2013 minute, during the first World Boxing Association directory meeting taking place in the Santo Domingo Sheraton Hotel in Dominican Republic.

Yang Sup Shim, President of the WBA PABA, made the report of activity in Asia. He emphasized the importance of sporting activity.

“The idea is to keep a constant activity to cover more areas in Asia”.

He emphasized the importance of the Asian boxers in the ranking, not only as champions, but also within the 15 rated boxer of each division.

Among the issues highlighted in the report of WBA PAFBA, Stanley Christodoulou explained that the new African authorities will allow boxing support, and develop more activities in the region.

“The Government opened two new offices to work with the sport. Promoting boxing, recognize that there is a good potential and also the national television network, which made a blockade for more than three years agrees with Broadasting the programs”, explained the Director.

He also said that the new Federation is interested in broadening the sponsorship and is looking for new sponsors in addition to opportunities to promote different boxing cards.

“There are possibilities of making the first KO to drugs in South Africa, and in addition a seminar for officials”.

Europe report was presented by its Director, Mariana Borisova, who pointed out that Britain is the country with 50% of fights in so far this year. Followed by Germany, which covers 25%.

She highlighted the growth of the InterContinental and International fights in Europe.
