Russian Alexander Povetkin (31-1, 23KO) and Ukrainian Andriy Rudenko (31-2, 19KO) will fight this Saturday for the World Boxing Association Intercontinental Heavyweight title in Moscow, Russia.

Povetkin, who was WBA World Champion between 2011 and 2012, will have the opportunity to win an Intercontinental belt in his country against a fierce Rudenko, who has already fought important boxers of the division.

The local boxer hit the scales at 228 pounds on Friday during the weigh-in ceremony in Moscow, while his opponent stopped the scale at 236.5 pounds. Thus, they are ready to fight for the vacant belt.

This will be the main fight of a list of eight undercard bouts with good European boxers.
