The XXIX KO Drugs held at the Santo Domingo Sheraton Hotel in Dominican Republic, was a success and Colombian Darleys Pérez and Dominican Dahiana Santana win the World Boxing Association Interim titles.

Pérez won the WBA lightweight interim title, after a hard battle against the host Argenis “Caballo” Lopez, who made resistance all the time, but was dominated in the ring by the Colombian.

The judges used the half point scored Nelson Vasquez 117 ½ 111, Francisco Martinez 116 ½ 112, Stanley Christodoulou 117 ½ 111, for Pérez.

For his part, Santana fought with the Colombian Francia Bravo, who showed gallantry at all times, which was recognized by the audience.

Santana won the featherweight interim championship to win by a 10 round unanimous decision. Idalia Parra voted 99 ½ 92, Gloria Martinez 100-90, Octavio Rodríguez 100-90, the third person on the ring is the Puerto Rican Melba Santos who made their first dispute at world title.

Other results of night were Fedor Chudinov won Fedecaribe title by TKO 3 to Andy Pérez, Dominican Norberto Jiménez won by decision to the Panamanian Julio “Kikiriki” Escudero, by super fly Fedelatin belt.

Ramses Payano defeated Ricardo Solano on points and won super lightweight Fedecentro title. The Puerto Rican Jesus Rojas won the super bantamweight Fedecaribe title by defeating Juan Carlos Peña by TKO 6.
