11th April 2016 in Jinghong, Zhang JungLong from China acquired the vacant WBA Oceania Heavyweight title by knocking down George Arias from Brasil 3 times in round 2. Arias came into the fight very cautious and was moving very well until southpaw JungLong caught him with the straight left. Arias was then very weary of his power but got caught twice again in which referee Mr Silvestre Abainza from the Philippines wisely called it off to save Arias from further punishment. This new champ will bring a fresh new approach to the hotly contested division and with a big team behind him will push boxing to new heights in one of the biggest markets in the world.
