The city of Las Vegas, Nevada Senator Ruben Kihuen and the Clark County commissioner, representative of Las Vegas Strip, Lawrence Weekly declared September 13 as Oscar de la Hoya Day.

The opening celebrations event will be at the Cultural week of the State of Nevada, from the day of the independence of Mexico, as reported by Golden Boy Promotions press.

It also represents a grateful act to ten-time world champion and Hall of Fame celebrity, for his cooperation and contribution to the tourism in Las Vegas for 16 years and now as promoter.

The WBA joins the celebration and congratulates Oscar de la Hoya on this Day.
