World Boxing Association (WBA) President Gilberto Jesús Mendoza sent a tweet about the fight last night between Rolando Romero and Jackson Maríñez.

“I just spoke with both teams and we are going to study the possibility of a rematch”, said the President of the pioneer organization through his account @GilberticoWBA.

The fight held in Connecticut for the WBA Interim Lightweight title ended in a unanimous decision in favor of the Cuban-American boxer.

The WBA will publish any information concerning this situation or the possible agreement reached by the parties.
