The World Boxing Association (WBA) number 1 ranked in the 108-pound division, Daniel Matellon, won the Fedecaribe title of the category by defeating Mexican Ivan Garcia by knockout in the third round.

The Cuban was the star of the night at Los Andes Mall, Panama City, and finished Garcia early in the fight to win the regional belt of the organization.

Matellon was superior from the first moment with his combinations and hurt his opponent to send him to the canvas in the third round and the judge made the respective count without him being able to get up. 

The Antillean remains undefeated with 13 wins and 2 draws, in addition to 7 knockouts. Garcia dropped to 8 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw and 5 knockouts.
