American Xavier Martinez and Dominican Claudio Marrero will meet this Saturday in a World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Featherweight eliminator. Both will enter the ring at the Mohegan Sun Casino, in Uncasville, Connecticut, in a great fight of the pioneer organization.

Martinez is ranked number seven while Marrero is in the fourth place. The former is a 22-year-old native of Sacramento, is undefeated and is one of the good prospects in the category.

Marrero is an experienced veteran, with a beautiful boxing style and a respectable punch. The Caribbean boxer has already been interim champion and is looking for a new title shot at 31 years of age.

The event is organized by TGB Promotions and will be broadcast on Showtime in the United States. The weigh-in ceremony will take place on Friday.

Martinez is undefeated with 15 wins, 11 of them by KO. Marrero has 24 wins, 4 losses and 17 KOs.
