Spain’s Sandor Martin and Mexico’s Jose Felix participated in the last press conference before their fight this Friday at the Palau Olímpic Vall d’Hebron, in Barcelona, Spain, for the World Boxing Association (WBA) super lightweight international title.

Martin will be at home for a great fight, where he will be the main attraction and wants to give a great show to his people.

“I feel good and looking forward to it. I was looking forward to returning home and fighting here again in front of my people. It’s always special and I think after my last fight more so. It came in a good time”, highlighted the local fighter.

Martin comes from defeating Mikey Garcia in his last fight. An important victory for his career and with which he has reached an important level of fame.

“It has been the most important victory of my career but I don’t want my career resume to be defined by that victory. We have to keep moving forward because my goal is to be world champion,” said Martin.

For his part, Felix talked about the importance of the fight for him and the opportunity he has in front of him. He assured that he will put up a lot of fight and that he is expecting the victory.

“I am happy to return to the elite of boxing. This fight is an anteroom that can take me back to be among the best ranked. Sandor is a great champion and I hope he takes this fight seriously because a Mexican always give war,” said the Mexican.

This Thursday both will step on the scales and once they reach the 140 pounds required by the division, they will be ready to fight for the WBA regional belt.
