Lara-Vendetti ready to fight for the WBA belt

Erislandy Lara and Greg Vendetti met the weight for their Saturday night fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Welterweight title at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The Cuban champion stopped the scale at 153 pounds, while Vendetti was also within the limit of the division with 152.4 pounds, and both were cleared for the fight for the black and gold belt.

Lara will make the first defense of the title he won in August last year against Ramon Alvarez and will fight a very eager opponent who wants to get the crown and give the surprise in California.

Erislandy arrives with 26 wins, 3 losses, 3 draws and 15 KOs, while Vendetti has a balance of 22 wins, 3 setbacks, 1 draw and 12 KOs.
