Kyoguchi-Bermudez bidding to be held on November 12, 2021
WBA Resolution: Heavyweight Division

The Championships Committee of the World Boxing Association (WBA) called for a purse bid for next November 12, 2021 for the bout between the super Light flyweight champion Hiroto Kyoguchi and the champion Esteban Bermudez.

The pioneer organization sent the communication to all promoters interested in participating in the bidding, which will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will be held through the Zoom platform due to the effects of the pandemic.

The Kyoguchi-Bermudez bout is part of the WBA’s world title reduction policy and the winner will be the WBA’s only world champion in the 108-pound category. The last 10-day deadline had recently been granted, which expired last November 1, and that is why the bidding was called.

The purse distribution will be 65% for Kyoguchi as Super Champion, while Bermudez will keep 35% as champion.
