Uzbek Otabek Kholvatov won his World Boxing Association (WBA) featherweight eliminator bout against Andranik Grigorian at the Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, Florida.

Kholvatov scored a wide unanimous decision with scorecards of 119-109, 119-109 and 118-108 thanks to an excellent boxing style he imposed all the way through.

It was a clash of two fighters with great projection and that was predicted to be a very close fight in which the small details would decide the winner.

However, Kholvatov blew all that away and dominated the fight at long distance, prevented Grigorian from getting into the exchange and nullified him to take an easy win in the ring. 

Although his opponent tried to get up in the final rounds, Kholvatov was able to handle the situation and clinch the fight that was already secured on the scorecards. The winner’s record stands at 10 wins, no losses and 9 knockouts, while Grigorian now has 14 wins, 1 loss and 3 knockouts.
