Joshua Buatsi delivered one of the most impressive knockouts of the year to Daniel Dos Santos this Saturday in Manchester, England. The British Ghanaian boxer retained his World Boxing Association (WBA) International Light Heavyweight crown by defeating the French boxer in the fourth round and made it clear that he is up for great things in the division.

The former Olympic medalist had his first match with Virgil Hunter in the corner and put on a great show of strength. In the fourth round, he landed a right hand to Dos Santos’ chin that sent him to the canvas dramatically and knocked him unconscious for several minutes.

Despite the atmosphere of tension that was experienced in the arena, Dos Santos recovered and was able to stand up to hear the official decision of the fight.

Buatsi attacked from the first minute, used his combinations well and was able to get the victory despite encountering an opponent taller than him who fought well in reverse.

Buatsi made it clear that he is one of the best at 175 pounds and that he will soon be fighting for a world belt. The regional champion retained his crown for the sixth time and has 14 wins, 12 by KO, while Dos Santos left his record at 15 wins, 1 loss, and 8 KOs.
