Josh Taylor is ready to defend his title against Khongsong in London

Josh Taylor is the leading name in the 140-pound division at the moment. The World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Champion won the World Boxing Super Series and will make his first title defense this Saturday against Thailand’s Apinun Khongsong in London, England.

Taylor will put his two world titles on the line in what will mark his reappearance after his last fight in October 2019, when he defeated Regis Prograis in the WBSS final.

The champion was out of action due to the pandemic break but had been training and waiting for the opportunity to defend the black and gold and IBF belts he holds.

Khongsong has experience in regional title fights and is undefeated. This will be his first title opportunity at the age of 24 in a big arena, with all the motivation to give a good performance against one of the best in the world today.

The champion has a record of 16 wins, no losses and 12 KOs, while the Asian boxer has the same record of 16-0 and 12 KOs.
